Semester D

The name is Ashley Forystek. Last June through July I interned with the non-profit organizations, US PIRG and Environment America located next to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. I’m currently a proud and enthusiastic intern at the dedicated non-profit organization, East Michigan Environmental Action Council in Detroit, Michigan. Aside from work, I’m a Junior at the University of Michigan – Dearborn studying Environmental Studies dual focusing in Naturalist and Urban Services. With a strong desire to study Environmental Law, I will be taking the infamous LSAT in June of 2011, so you can usually find me with the “LSAT for Dummies” book in my hands.

Travelling is a huge part of who I am. I love seeing new places, and meeting new people. I have an interesting infatuation with accents. I’ve traveled to the historical and enticing cities of Paris, Rome, Pisa, Florence, Venice, Amsterdam, London, Cabo San Lucas, Beijing, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Hopefully this list will continue to grow as I do. Besides travelling, I love to rock climb, run, hike, swim, camp, walk, ride bikes, really anything outside hits some excitement nerve in my body. Oh, I’m a vegan and an environmentalist. I celebrate Earth Day more than my own birthday. PROTECT YOUR MOTHER!
